The place for companies and organisations offering tools/services to increase labour market inclusion.
Seminars/O-zone
At the "O-zone" seminar stage, we take the needs of business as our starting point and focus on the business benefits of diversity.
BOOK YOUR PLACE AT THE O-ZONE SEMINARS
Clarion Hotel post, 08:30-12:00
The O-zone is based on the needs of the business community and visitors will have the opportunity to listen to experts and guest speakers shed light on different approaches to diversity and inclusion. On stage you will meet fund analysts, stock exchange CEOs, award-winning HR managers and award-winning inspirers. We will be joined by Katarina Berg (Spotify), Hosni Teque-Omeriat (Eniro) and many more.
among the speakers in the o-zone

For more than a decade, Katarina has driven the HR and talent work at Spotify, from startup to an internationally established company. Under her leadership, Spotify has grown significantly while maintaining its values, making the company one of the most attractive employers in Sweden and internationally. Katarina has focused on building teams and creating a work environment where creative and passionate people can thrive. She now leads Spotify's global HR efforts and is General Manager for Spotify in Sweden. In 2023, Katarina published the book BOLD, which inspires HR professionals to be brave in their work.

Hosni Teque-Omeirat is a refugee child, intrapreneur, father of two and CEO. MBA with a fablesse for building and rebuilding organisations that have gone astray. Loves to change and improve and takes on "impossible" challenges. Makes things happen but always feels inadequate and is convinced that the meaning of life is to give without expecting anything in return.
Born in the war-torn Middle East of the 1980s, raised in Värmland in the 1990s, schooled in the 2000s academy, came of age in Stockholm in the 1990s, and is excited about the developments of this decade.

With a passion and a burning desire to bridge the gap between different walks of life and cultures, Charbel Gabro, the multi-award-winning speaker, has become a powerful voice for change and inclusion. His message is a call to work together to erase the divides that separate us and instead create a world of togetherness and understanding.

"We at Clarion Hotel Post choose with pride and joy to get involved in Opportunity Day! We work daily with strong values around diversity and inclusion and are convinced that our workplace is open to everyone. In order for both us and other companies in the hospitality industry to continue to grow, we must challenge traditional recruitment processes to find new talent. Opportunity Day offers us an opportunity to find our future colleagues, and we hope that our participation can inspire other companies to do the same.”
Anders Sköld, CEO Clarion Hotel Post

"During my almost 15 years as CEO of the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce, I have spoken to a large number of companies. I always ask the question: "What is your biggest obstacle to continued growth?" and the answer has always been the same: "Skills supply". However, I have recently received a different type of response, which can be summarised as 'social exclusion'. Business leaders identify that there is a large part of the labour force that, due to their lack of networks, does not connect with businesses in the same way as many others. Greater engagement on these issues offers great opportunities for both business and society. By working for inclusion and diversity through jobs, we believe that together we can further strengthen West Sweden. For our members, this is a business-critical issue, which is why we as a chamber of commerce support Opportunity day"
Johan Trouvé, CEO of the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce.

"Länsförsäkringar Göteborg och Bohuslän is proud of its partnership with Opportunity Day. Our commitment extends beyond insurance and banking services. As a customer-owned company, we have a dedicated sustainability programme in which we actively take responsibility for giving back to the communities where our customers and owners live. Therefore, it is a matter of course for us to be part of the efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the labour market in our region. We are convinced that diversity is an asset that strengthens us as an organisation, fosters creative thinking and leads to more successful outcomes. We believe that by working together with other stakeholders, we can make the best use of the skills available in our local area and contribute to an inclusive and diverse labour market in the long term"
Lydia Skarrie, HR Business Partner, Länsförsäkringar Göteborg and Bohuslän

"At Scandic, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusion. By being a part of Opportunity Day, we want to continue creating opportunities where everyone feels welcome - just like at our hotels!"
Kristian Sandahl, Hotel Director Scandic Rubinen

Despite the economic situation, there are still many companies that want to recruit. It is an insane waste of resources that we then have competent people in Sweden who do not enter the labor market or do not work with the skills they have. We need to create occasions where these worlds can meet.
Rudolph Anthony, Rregional manager, Swedish Business Administration

At Knowit, we have for many years carried out equality work, which has led to our being a significantly more equal and inclusive workplace in terms of gender. We are still proud of the results we have managed to achieve, which were particularly noticed when we received the award "the stock exchange's most equal company" in 2019. Today, the focus is on taking the next step and also ensuring greater diversity linked to ethnicity, background, age, etc. We are sure that in this way we both create better solutions for our customers and contribute to a better society in general. Today, we support several initiatives that work with these issues and are happy to contribute to Opportunity Day's work."

"Sweden is in great need of labor in most areas. We also know that there is great potential in all those people of foreign origin who, for various reasons, do not reach the labor market. At the same time, we know that a job is perhaps the most important factor for seriously entering Swedish society, being able to contribute and feeling needed. Opportunity Day is a context where this hidden resource is made visible and given the opportunity to meet potential employers and get a real job. We at Ekan Management are partners with OD because we know that the model works and has been successful for many years."
Christopher Mathiasson – CEO, Ekan Management

"People coming to work, and employers realizing the potential in diversity, are two critical building blocks for increased integration in Sweden. We can only solve this social challenge together, and it is therefore gratifying to see all the positive power that several actors create together through Opportunity Day. Alkompis is proud to be able to contribute to this important initiative"
Julia Agha, Alkompi's CEO

"Right now, there are many organizations that experience a lack of skills and difficulties in recruiting, while at the same time we have groups of people who are outside the labor market and whose skills are not being used. We can't have it like that. Working more effectively with inclusion is a natural part of the solution to the challenge of skills supply. As an effect, we will get more well-functioning organizations but also a more prosperous society in general! Within Sweden's HR Association, we want to take a stand for an inclusive labor market where we can make full use of all people's skills and therefore support Opportunity Day."
Mimi Cromberger, Chairman of the board, Sweden's HR Association West

"In Nordic Choice we have over 170 nationalities. Think about it: 170! There are only 195 free states in the entire world. So if a guest comes from almost anywhere in the world, there is someone in the hotel who speaks their language. (…) Opportunity is, for me, precisely about this: to give someone an opportunity and to see those who came as a fantastic resource in our company.”
Petter Stordalen – Nordic Choice Hotels

We believe that by working together with other stakeholders, we can make the best use of the skills available in our local area and contribute to an inclusive and diverse labour market in the long term"

"Everyone is needed in the construction industry and we need more of us! As we build a sustainable society for all, we also need builders with different backgrounds and skills. This enriches our workplaces with creativity and well-being, and creates attractiveness and innovation. Diversity is important!"
Maria Strömberg, Regional Director of Construction Companies in the West.

"Provision of expertise is one of the absolute biggest challenges for us in the municipalities, perhaps the biggest. This at the same time as there is a great deal of competence that we do not take advantage of, partly because of our way of recruiting. It goes without saying for us in Härryda municipality to both be a partner to Opportunity Day and to participate with a booth in the job matching."
/Pia Alhäll, Municipal director, Härryda Municipality
